Goodbye Yr.2012 & Welcome Yr.2013

Today is the New Year's Eve, the last day of year 2012. What have you done in this past year? Have you met your goals that you have set in the beginning of year? Is it a happy or sorrow year for you in year 2012? No matter how, we should leave behind all our bads, unfortunates and sadness in year 2012 and let the 2013 as a new year for us as a rebirth or reborn.

I think the most serious incident in Year 2012 is no doubt, the said Doomsday on 21 December 2012. However, there was not anything happened on that day as life still goes on and it is not the end of the world. :)

There are many major events have happened in Year 2012, e.g. General Elections in USA, Japan, China, Korea. Korea has the first lady president and Obama is the President of USA again. In UK, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 60 years of Jubilee and Duchess Catherine is pregnant. Don't forget that there is 2012 London Olympic Games.

Our badminton player Dato Lee Chong Wei has won the silver medal in the London Olympics again and he also got married with his girlfriend. This goes the same to the Chinese badminton player, Lin Dan. He won the gold medal again and also got married in this year. Another good news for Malaysia is that the lady diver, Pamela has won the bronze medal for diving in the London Olympics, and it is a history for Malaysia.

The above are the good news of year 2012 and also there are sad news in the year. The earthquake, snowstorm in Europe, wars. Well, I hope all the sadness, sorrows would leave behind, and the new year is a new chapter / beginning of our life.

I would like the wish all of you to have a happy, joyful and prosperous new year. HAPPY 2013!!! :)

22.12.12 – A New Era

The world did not end on 211212. But the lives of some were definitely changed for the better as we are entering a new era. It could be considered as we are “reborn/rebirth”!

The widely-hyped 211212 date predicted by the Mayans to signal doomsday was a no-show, but that did not dissuade those who had prepared for it. No matter how, the day of 211212 is a history and today is 221212. I guess some people were disappointed that nothing had happened. On the other hand, some people would feel joyful as it was not the end of the world. Am I right?! J

For me, I would value my life more and would be living in my fullest and stay in good health. I wish there will be world peace and no more wars and tragedies would happen.

Lastly, I would like to wish all of you to have a happy life and love your family and friends all the time!!!

Congrats to the First Female President of Korea

Korea has the first female president, from 20.12.2012. It is a history in Korea. The new Korean President, President Park Geun-hye.  She is the daughter of the former President of Korea, Park Chung-Hee.  She writes a new chapter for her country.
Personally, it is a surprised for me that Korea has the first female president today. This is due to Korea is a male-dominant country and it is a female who becomes the leader of the country now. I think all the females of Korea are happy and proud of her. I think the reason for President P won is the Koreans would like to see changes in future for their country.
I used to watch a Korean TV drama called “The Big Thing” and the story is about a widow and then she becomes the President of the Korea. I have never thought of such story would become reality, that a female president is found in Korea! J FYI, the lead actress of this drama has won the ‘Best Actress’ award in the Korea too.
Anyway, I would like to congrats to this first female Korean president and wish her all the best in future.

Counting for the Doomsday, 21.12.12?!

Less than a week, it will be the day of 21 December 2012. It will be consider as the Doomsday according to the Mayans. I believe some people have done the preparations for it and some people do not even give it a damn. :P
For those people who have done the preparations, I think they have  turning spare rooms into long-term food storage pantries, they are planting survival gardens, they are converting their homes over to alternative sources of energy, they are taking self-defence courses and they are stocking up on just about anything you can imagine.
I have read the newspaper, that some people are started to store for candle, canned food, blade, or even the guns and bullets for self protection. They believe that it would be black out in the whole world for 3 days after 21/12/12 therefore needed the candles.
However, some people do not believe Doomsday is coming. They would just act normal and do their work the best. Some people would plan what should be done before the Doomsday. E.g. Confessions to their love ones, spend all his/her money, travel around the world, etc..
As for me, I don’t believe it would be Doomsday. Life still goes go. However, we should value our life everyday, love our family and friends and be a kind person. We should live in our fullest and do not in regret. This is what I have in mind personally.

So, are you counting down for 21.12.12 the Doomsday?! Do you believe Doomsday is really coming?! I don’t!!!

My 12.12.12

If you have been following my blog, you would know that I had to go to the UMMC in today for the report of my chest bronchoscopy which I done in last month. Well, I went to the Chest Clinic of the UMMC in this morning. I waited until 10am then only was my turn.

While I was waiting for my turn, I was very nervous. I was afraid that the result would show not good or the chest specialist wanted me to be admitted for the medical treatment (touch wood). I was really worried and nervous while waiting for my turn.

Well, when finally my number was being called, I went to the consultation room. My chest specialist was smiling to me and I greeted to him too. He was asking how was I feeling and I told him that I feel alright and have some coughing occasionally. Then he was reading the report and was smiling for it. He told me that there was not any bacteria shown in my lungs according to the report, and I needed to continue my oral treatment. I asked him if I need not to be admitted and he said "yes". I was relieved to hear that! :) The doctor then told the nurse to check my weight and then he said I am underweight, I knew it too as I am very skinny.

The doctor advised me to gain weight as the person who was underweight would have weak immune system and then would cause osteoporosis in future. He advised me to eat more. He was then asking my heaviest weight that I had before and I told him it was during my high school days and he was teasing me for it. He was joking to me that I would have blown away by the strong wind as per my weight now. Anyway, the doctor wanted me to continue my treatment and I needed to go back for follow-up after 2 months time.

I wanted to thank to GOD that my result shown good and the lucky thing was that I would not need to be hospitalised for the medical treatment. I wish I would stay healthy always!!! God bless!!! So, my 12.12.12 is a good day!!! :)

12.12.12

In less than 10 hours, it would be the day of 12.12.2012. Many people like this date as it is a special date as it happens once a thousand years. Some people may celebrate such date in special way as they think it is the 10 days before the Doomsday. Some couples would have their marriage on this day.

However, 12.12.12 is also a day which is nervous for me. The reason is that I have to go to the UMMC to get my report for the chest bronchoscopy that I have done in end of October. If my report shows not good, I guess I have to get admission again for the medical treatment. I wish my history would not happen, as last year, I went for my report and the chest specialist wanted me to admit immediately and have treatment. I was hospitalised for 2 full months or 60 days!!! :(

Thus, I pray for the history would not be repeat this time. I rather to take more medicines for my treatment instead of being hospitalised. By staying in the hospital, I would become very emotional and I could not stop for being injection! I would not want to face such things again.

I pray to the God that my result would be OK as I would not be admitted for the medical treatment. So, my friends, kindly pray for me together to the God! I already felt very nervous for 12.12.12 for my result and I could not have good sleep at night for the past few days.

I wish that I would have good news for my result tomorrow! Please pray for me and wish me luck my friends!!! May God bless me!!!

Postcard from Munich, Germany

Dietmar from Munich, Bavaria, Germany sent me a postcard in last week. The postcard is a Japanese garden in Ingolstadt. It is one of the cities in Germany, which is about 70km far from Munich as according to Dietmar.

I think it is interesting to have an Asian garden in the European country as I wish I could take a visit of it someday. Anyway, I would like to thank Dietmar for the postcard.

I received my first Christmas card of the year from Joe, USA. He written in the postcard that he has four of his seven Christmas trees up. It usually takes a week for him to do the set up. I think by the time he finished all the seven Christmas trees, it must be very beautiful. :)

School Graduation Trip

My niece has went to her primary school graduation trip in this morning. She is going to Singapore for 4 days 3 nights. Gosh, time flies, I still recalled the day my niece was borned and she looked so small. Now, she has graduated the primary school and joins the graduation trip to Singapore.

This is the first time to her to go to trip by herself, without any family members accompany her. I guess my niece is brave enough to go the trip by herself, of course she has her schoolmates with her. She is excited for her trip too for the past few days. However, I know her mother, grandmother and I would be worried about her as my niece is sometimes quite clumsy. Anyway, I wish that she would enjoy her trip with safety and fun of course. :)

As for me, I did not join my primary school graduation trip. It was a Singaporean trip too. The reason is that I had transferred to another school and I was having school days on the date of the trip. Thus, until when I was in Form 2, then only I went to trip with my friends to Singapore. It was the first time for me to go to trip with friends, and no parents around. My elder sister was accompanied me for such Singapore trip as my sister also knew my friends. So we all went along and there were 5 of us.

I remembered that we were staying in the Singapore for 4 days and I had to call (collect call) my parents every night to inform them that we were alright. Although such trip is not my trip that without any family members, I felt it was fun too! Travelling only with friends or only with family would have different feelings for me.

So, how about you? Do you prefer to travel with your family or friends?! :P

Postcard of Rocky Cave Temple, China

I received a postcard from SuZhou, China. It is sent by Jenny to me. This postcard shows the Rocky Cave Temple at Gongyi, China.

Located in Northern Henan Province, Gongyi offers a surprising amount of Chinese culture and history. Gongyi boasts a historical temple from the Northern Wei Dynasty, called the Rock Cave Temple. This features thousands of Buddhas carved into the side of a hill. This also includes the wall of a thousand Tang Buddhas. I think that such temple is amazing.

I would like to thank Jenny for sending such postcard to me as I think it is an amazing postcard. Besides, Jenny also pasted some lovely stamps on the postcard, and I like them very much. Thus, THANK  YOU, Jenny!!! :)

Congrats to William and Catherine!!! :)

Congratulations to Duke William and Duchess Catherine of Cambridge!!! The whole world is celebrating with them as they prepare for the birth of their first child.

How amazing to see pictures of the international press gathered outside the duchess's room at King Edward VII Hospital. Already, the two of them are on a pedestal, looked to as models for handling a pregnancy.

Soon, the international throngs will also be scrutinizing their every move as parents: How they hold their children, how they dress them, where they take them for fun.

Anyway, it is a wonderful news for the Royal family and of course all the fans of William and Kate too. No doubt, I am one of them! :P Thus, I would like to give warmest congrats to William and Kate again and wish to see their beautiful baby soon. :)

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Finally the finale of the movie of “Twilight” series has started showing on 22/11/2012. I bet all the fans of “Twilight” series must have been dying for it. No doubt, I am one of the fans for the finale.
The story of the finale is that Bella is enjoying her new life and new powers, after the birth of their daughter, Renesmee. Soon, however, their family bliss is threatened again, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy this potential threat, Bella and the Cullens - together with any allies they can assemble - are preparing to fight a crucial, ultimate battle, to protect their family.

OK, let us take some sneak peek of “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Down – Part 2” below.

Gosh, the actor, Robert Pattinson is so good-looking. I mean he is COOL! :P I like him so much. I also like the actress, Kristen Stewart and also the little actress, Mackenzie Foy. She is so talented.
Well, I am going to catch this movie soon. I know that it is the happy ending of the story as I have read the novel series. I am still looking forward to it. Wish that I would enjoy this finale! J
