Korean TV Drama Postcard Collections

Yahoo! I have received the postcards of my favourite Korean TV series from my pen-pals. They are Sinae from Korea to send me the drama postcards of "The Moon that Embraces the Sun" and CuZn from China to send the hit series "My Love from the Star"!

I was so surprised when I received the drama postcards. I am very happy too as both series are starring with the same actor, he is Kim Soo-hyun. Yes, a very, very popular idol in Asia now after the TV drama " My Love from the Star" as the character of a cool alien professor named Do Min-joon. :P

Well, the actor, Kim Soo-hyun is one of my favourite Korean male actors as his acting skill is good and he looks cute too. He has also won many awards in his career. I got to know this actor from the drama "Giant" in few years back.

Anyway, I like both the drama of the postcards that my pen-pals have sent to me. Thus, I am very grateful for receiving them. Hence, I would like to say Kamsah Hamidah, Xie Xie 谢谢 to Sinae and CuZn respectively. Lastly, a BIG THANK YOU to you all!!!! :) once again, THANK YOU!!! :D

Letter of the Month 2014 Project

In the month of February, I have participated in a project called "Letter of the Months"! This is a game for the letters challenge, which means you have to write letters to your friends everyday by using the pen. Not typing but hand-written letters. The more letters you have sent, the more achievements you would received in this project. Of course you would receive surprise letters too.

This project is started by an author named  Mary Robinette Kowal.

On September 2011, Mary Robinette Kowal decided it was time for a break. She spent the entire month offline, and asked her friends to communicate with her through letters. The results of this personal challenge were a revelation:
When I write back, I find that I slow down and write differently than I do with an email. Email is all about the now. Letters are different, because whatever I write needs to be something that will be relevant a week later to the person to whom I am writing. In some ways it forces me to think about time more because postal mail is slower. “By the time you get this…” It is relaxing. It is intimate. It is both lasting and ephemeral.
How so? I find that I will often read the letters that I receive twice. Once when I get them and again as I write back. So, that makes it more lasting. It is more ephemeral because I don’t have copies of the letters that I write and I am the only one who has copies of the letters that my correspondents write. So, more ephemeral.
I know a lot of postcrossers share these feelings - this is part of the reason why Postcrossing exists!
Mary's decided to turn February into a Month of Letters, in which she challenges herself and everyone who decides do join to write and send at least a piece of postal mail every day. Here are the rules:
Mail at least one item through the post every day it runs. Write a postcard, a letter, send a picture, or a cutting from a newspaper, or a fabric swatch.
Write back to everyone who writes to you. This can count as one of your mailed items.
We can't help but feeling postcrossers have their work cut out for them in this challenge... :) Nevertheless, we wanted to dare you all to do it! Write postcards, letters or aerogrammes or surprise a friend with an unexpected package. Maybe even pick a Facebook/Twitter friend and send them with an offline "hello!".

Are you up to Mary's challenge? Grab your stationery and stamps and start writing! :)

I have already sent some letters to some of my friends and also received surprise letters. I think this is fun as nowadays all the people are just using email for communicate to each other by typing instead of handwriting. Guess what?! Hand writing reminds me of my school days and I like that kind of feeling.

Well, if you are interested for Letter of the Months, you may participate now! Have fun!!! :)

V-Mail from USA

This is the first time I have received V-Mail from the USA. It is sent from Joe. I think V-Mail is similar to our aerogramme. Joe has written that this is an American Military V-Mail that soldiers used to write home with during the World War Two. Well, I think V-Mail is a history then.

If you would like to know more about V-Mail, you may refer to here. Joe has blogged about it. Anyway, I would like to thank Joe for the mail. Happy Valentine's Day!!! ^.^

Candy Crush Saga Game

Divine! Delicious! Sweet! Sugar Crush! Familiar with these words?!

Well, if you are a fan of the game, you should be known these words are from the game "Candy Crush Saga". Yes, it is a very popular game throughout the world now, I think. Well, at least in Malaysia, it is very, very popular.

No matter where do you go, if you see the people are sitting down to play the game on their hand phones or IPads, the game sure is "Candy Crush"! :P Haha!!! No doubt, I am one of the fan of the "Candy Crush Saga"game now.

Candy Crush Saga is a video game originally for smartphones and Facebook that was released on November 14, 2012. It was developed by King. As of March 2013, "Candy Crush Saga" surpassed FarmVille 2 as the most popular game on Facebook, with 45.6 million average monthly users. It is a variation on their browser game Candy Crush.

The game is a variation of "match three" games such as Bejeweled. Each level has a different shaped game board (the maximum game board size is 9 by 9) filled with candies of three to six different colors and sometimes obstacles. The basic move of the game consists of swapping two candies' positions to align sets of three of the same color, whereupon they disappear, causing candies above them to collapse into the space left behind, often resulting in chain reactions. Moves and alignments must be horizontal/vertical. The level's objectives must be met before the player runs out of moves (or time on timed levels); in each case, the player must earn enough points to get the first star (out of three) in the scoring system.

Currently, I am kind of "addicted" to the "Candy Crush Saga" game. I am playing the game everyday. Thus, many of my friends would receive requests from me to ask for "life"! Hehe! I hope that they would not mind for it! When it has pass over a level and go to another level, I think it is very fun and excited and it keeps me want to continue to play it.

However, I would not spend so much time on the game playing as I would do other things, like readings. Thus, for those who are playing the game, please do not spend too much time on it as you have your others stuff to do, eg. studying, workings, doing homework (for the students)!

Anyway, I wish all the fans of "Candy Crush Saga" would go through all the levels fast and enjoy every levels and have fun! :)

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Finally the finale of the movie of “Twilight” series has started showing on 22/11/2012. I bet all the fans of “Twilight” series must have been dying for it. No doubt, I am one of the fans for the finale.
The story of the finale is that Bella is enjoying her new life and new powers, after the birth of their daughter, Renesmee. Soon, however, their family bliss is threatened again, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy this potential threat, Bella and the Cullens - together with any allies they can assemble - are preparing to fight a crucial, ultimate battle, to protect their family.

OK, let us take some sneak peek of “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Down – Part 2” below.

Gosh, the actor, Robert Pattinson is so good-looking. I mean he is COOL! :P I like him so much. I also like the actress, Kristen Stewart and also the little actress, Mackenzie Foy. She is so talented.
Well, I am going to catch this movie soon. I know that it is the happy ending of the story as I have read the novel series. I am still looking forward to it. Wish that I would enjoy this finale! J

My "The Casual Vacancy"

I have just bought the new novel of J.K. Rowling (the author of Harry Potter's series) on Monday. The title is "The Casual Vacancy". I saw the comments that this book is meant for the adult rather than the children. Moreover, there are many bad and good comments about such new novel of the author. I guess that is called life huh?! Goods and bads.

Anyway, i would start to read "The Casual Vacancy" by this week. The reason I bought this novel is due to the author. Well, I hope she would not let me down on this story!!! :p

My First collection of Slovakia Postcards

I was surprised to receive 10 postcards (at the same time) from Slovakia about 2 weeks ago. They are sent by Justyna from Slovakia to me. She sent me all 10 cards enclosed in an envelope. According to Justyna, the ones that she sent to me are from her postcard collections
Justyna introduced Slovakia to me that it is a really small country and not so many people have visited there. She hopes that I could visit Slovakia someday which I also wish to do so! J My brother-in-law has travelled there before, I saw some of the pictures that he taken from Slovakia, they are beautiful, and thus I think Slovakia is a beautiful country!

Justyna tells me in her letter that actually she is originally from Poland and she is planning to have the wedding with her boyfriend and she is happy to be there. I feel glad for her too as I want to say Congratulations to her for her coming wedding!
Most of the cards are showing the views of the city, POPRAD, Slovakia. I get to know about Poprad from the postcards.
Thus, I would like to say THANK YOU to Justyna for all the Slovakian postcards! J

Twilight Series

Finally I have finished reading the “Twilight” series novels (4 books). I borrowed the series of novel from my friends and I have spent few weeks to finish them. Guess what?! I started to read with the last series, “The Breaking Dawn”.  The reason is I was eager to know the ending since I have watched the “Twilight” movies. The finale would be shown in November 2012.

Anyway, after reading the series novel, I have clearer story of “Twilight”. This is due to some scenes have missed or did not show detailed in the movies. From reading the books, I have better understandings.

Like I said, I started to read with the last book, “Breaking Dawn”, and then only I started to read from the beginning of the series.  From “Twilight”, “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. I am happy with the ending as I bet all the fans of “Twilight” series are having the same though as I am! J

Thus, I am looking forward to the movie “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” in this November. I would like to recommend the “Twilight” series (both novels and movies) to the people who are yet to read and/or watch it. For me, it is an interesting story and I am enjoying it very much. I hope you all would like it too! Enjoy reading/watching “Twilight” series!!!
