Mails from My Worldwide Pen - Pals

I have received some mails from my foreign pen-pals in the past few weeks. They include posstcards and letters. Those mails are from AUstralia, China, the Netherlands, Argentina and Russia. Among them, the pen-pals from the China, Australia and the Netherlands, we have exchanged mails formore than 2years. They areAndrea from Australia, Angela from the Netherlands, and Deirdre from China.

Deirdre - China

The first postcard (above) is sent from Deidre, China. She has just become a college student and she is excited about her college life I think. Anyway, Deirdre has sent me a lovely postcard to me and I like it very much.

Silvina - Argentina

The second postcard is from Argentina, Silvina. We exchanged postcard. She has sent me a postcard with the view of Ushuaia, Fin Del Mundo. It is the southermost city in the world. I in returned has sent her a self- made postcard. Anyway, I would like to thank Silvina for the beautiful postcard.

Andrea - Australia

Andrea from Hobart, Tasmania, Malaysia. She has sent me the postcard with the multi-view of Tasmania. It includes Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay and The Penitentiary, Port Arthur. Andrea has mentioned in the postcard that winter has arrived early in Australia and they had show down to 200m. The multi-view of her postcard are all listed in the UNESCO. I like such postcard very much as it is wonderful. Thank you Andrea.

The postcard below is from Irina, Russia. It is a black ad white postcard with the view of the old St. Petersburg. Irina is very interested about my beautiful country, thus,I will reply to her by telling her some of our culture or menu. :p

The last mail is from my favourite pen-pal, Angela. The Dutch pen-pal. She always surprised me with her mail as you could see in the picture. Angela always sends me some gifts together with her letter. Hence, I am always looking forward to receive her mail. However, it is not due to the gifts, it is her wonderful letter. According to Angela, she just finished her holidays from one of the Middle East countries and she and her family were enjoyed very much for their vacation. I am yet to reply to Angela due to I am quite busy with my personal matters lately. I would try to reply to her soon.

Anyway, these are all my mails from my foreign pen-pals. I would try to reply to you ASAP and once again, thank you for your wonderful mails!!! Happy Letter-exchanging!!! :D

OMG! Earthquake in Sabah, Malaysia!

After I got up from the bed in this morning, I checked my FB and  I saw one of my ex-colleagues who is from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, posted a message that she was experiencing earthquake in the early morning before she went to work.

I was shocked to see her posting. Then i was checking the news online and OMG! Malaysia was having the earthquake at Sabah's west coast with magnitute 5.9 hit near Ranau district. It is a town near the capital city of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu with about 54km away. It was happened at 7:15am.

Gosh, i was shocked with the news as I have never imagined that earthquake would be happening in my country. Luckily my ex-colleague is alright and did not hurt, I hope. Anyway, according to the news reported, the tremors shook buildings and rattled windows prompting people to run out from their houses, shops, and even at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport terminal.

There are about 190 people/climbers trapped on the Mt. Kinabalu after the earthquake. I wish all those people would be safe and would get rescue at soonest possible.

Another bad case is that after the earthquake, the iconic Donkey's Ear Peak at Mt. Kinabalu has been destroyed. The twin peak landmark resembling a pair of donkey's ears has been badly damaged, with the top of one of the peaks falling off in the tremors.

Lastly, I prayed for the people in Sabah are all safe and wish that there would not be second wave of quake again. May God bless all of us!!!
