Family Dinner Gathering

Last Saturday, 14th June was the day for my Loh family gathering dinner, it could also be the pre-celebration of the Father's Day and the farewell party to my uncle who was returning to Melbourne, Australia.

On that day, I had managed to meet my uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces whom I did not meet for long time. It was even my first meeting for some of my cousins' husband or fiances. :p Anyway, on that dinner, I only realised that I have became the aunt of 15 nephews and nieces. Wow! Can you imagine that?! Haha!!!

Anyway, during that dinner, we took many pictures and some of us even did selfie. We had taken a whole family group photo, but it was not all the members of my Loh family due to some of my cousins, uncle and aunt were absent for the dinner. If all of us were there for the photo, I think it would be a wonderful picture. :) The picture above is our group photo! Isn't nice?!

Most of us were enjoying the dinner as the adults were drinking wine and the ones under the aged 21 were drinking soft drinks. There was a a little joke jas happened, that was my cousin sister-in-law had got drunk with the liquor as she tried to bottoms up with my uncles and her sister in-law. She is the person who could not drink Liquor but she was newly married to my cousin brother few months back from Vietnam. So, this was her first time to meet all the family members/relatives.

When she got drunk, I saw she was suffering as she was crying. This reminded me that I almost got drunk with the white wine during my Italy trip in few years back. I got so high after drinking the wine and luckily I managed to vomitted out after I returned to my hotel room and fall asleep. I recalled that i was having giddiness and luckily I did not have any headache on the next day after I got up from bed. Hehe! :p Since then, I stopped drinking any liquor/alcohol drinks as I would get rashes too after drinking it!

Lastly, I want to say that I was having a wonderful dinner at that day and I wish that all my relatives would stay in good health and happy always!!! :)

Postcards from Europe

Finnish Postcard

I have received 2 postcards from the Europe on 11/6/2014. They are from the Finland and Czech Republic. The postcard shown above is sent from Tania, Finland. She is a retired accountant. Se likes pen palling, reading, travelling, needle works and collecting postcards.

Tania has sent me the postcard which enclosed in an envelop. The stamp is beautiful too. The postcard she has sent me is the night view of the Turku Abo of Suomi. Anyway, I would like to thank Tania for the postcard.

The second postcard is from Katerina who is from Czech Republic. She has sent me a card with the beautiful view of the Cesky Krumlov.

The first written reference to Cesky Krumlov dates back to the year 1253. The Krumlov branch of the Vitkov family died out in 1302 and the Krumlov estate passed into the hands of the Rosenberg. The last of the Rosenberg line, Petr Vok, was then forced to cede Krumlov to Emperor Rudolf Hapsburg II in 1601. The Eggenberg family then took control Krumlov in 1622 during the 32 War with the financial assistance of the emperor. The town was later inherited y the Schwarzenberg family in 1719 once the Eggenbergs had died out. Cesky Krumlov has been a UNESCO cultural and natural heritage site since 1992..

I would like to thank Katerina for the beautiful card as I like it very much.

OMG! A Dutch Surprise!!! :P

OMG! My Dutch pen-pal, Angela has given me surprised again. Besides the letter she written to me, she also has sent me some lovely cards and her photo! When I was opening her mail, I was like opening a gift instead. Moreover, the stamps that she posted to me are beautiful too.

Thus I am very grateful to Angela for all the lovely gifts. :) I guess I am very lucky to have meet such a good pen-pal, not that I mean the gifts. What I meant is that I am glad to have a nice friend from a different country that we can exchange letters and sometimes little gifts to shine or cheer up life of each other!!! I guess it is a good sign!!! :)

Anyway, in this letter, I like the most is the photo. In the photo she has dressed in the Dutch traditional costumes with her family and I like it very much. If I got the chance to visit the Netherlands next time, I would like to dress up like them for a picture too.! :P

Thus, I would like to thank Angela for all the lovely gifts and letter and I will reply to her soon. Once again, thank you!!! :)
