Hi there! I believe all the school children are very happy in these 2 weeks due to it is the school term break for them from 30/5/2011 until 12/6/2011. I guess some of the parents of the school children are also taking leaves during this period of time as they would travel outstation or overseas together with their kids or spending the time with them.
I think some of the school children would also attend the motivation camps or attend some short courses during this school term break. For me, no matters what the school children do during this term break, as long as it is something meaningful, good and not harm to themselves or others, then it is alright as term break is the time for the school children to rest and relax as I believe they are very tension during the school days.
However, I do not wish to see the school children to do something bad, like hanging around and did nothing, or go to disturb others or fighting. I think this is bad for them. Thus, I wish the parents could take care of their children well and would be able to know what their children would be doing during the term break, otherwise, if something bad had happened, it could be too late for it.
Anyway, I wish all the school children to have a Happy, Enjoyable, & Relax holidays!!! Cheers!!!
Welcome to my blog! I have been blogging for years, and I find it is fun. However, please forgive me if there is anything which has been offended you. Anyway, I wish you will like my blog and keep following it! Cheers!

Tai Chi for the Heart
People with chronic heart failure may be able to boost their quality of life by doing the ancient Chinese exercise regimen of Tai Chi, a US study suggested.
2 groups of sessions of one hour each week were enough to show significant improvements in mood and confidence, said the Boston-based study in the Archives of Internal Medicine, a journal of the American Medical Association.
The study compared 50 US heart patients who enrolled in Tai Chi classes to 50 who took classroom study in heart education. Physical responses were similar in both groups, but those who did Tai Chi showed "significant" improvements according to their answers in a questionnaire to assess their emotional state.
The Tai Chi group also reported "better exercise self-efficacy (confidence to perform certain exercise-related activities) increased daily activity, and related feelings of well-being compared with the education group," said the study.
While experts admit they do not fully understand the science behind the findings, the study offers a positive option for complementing standard medical care of people with chronic heart failure, a debilitating and progressive disease that limits a person's ability to breathe and move.
"Tai Chi appears to be a safe alternative to low-to-moderate intensity conventional exercise training,"said lead author of Gloria Yeh of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre.
"Tai Chi has a good rate of adherence and may provide value in improving daily exercise, life quality, self-efficacy and mood in frail, deconditioned patients with systolic heart failure."
Yeh is also assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Research and Education in Complimentary and Integrative Medical Therapies at Harvard Medical School.
Previous studied have suggested Tai Chi, which involves slow, circular movements and balance-shifting exercises, may be helpful to people who suffer from high blood pressure, fibromyalgia and stress.
Thus, let's get started for the Tai Chi!!!

OMG, Rubbish Pork aka The Black-Hearted Pork!!!
There is some reporting for the news of black-hearted pork or “rubbish pork” on the newspaper lately. I could not believe that it is happening in my country as I always thought that the black-hearted items could only be found in the overseas country.
When I read the news on the newspaper that those black-hearted pork or “rubbish pork” are used to make the dim sum siu mai, meat balls or the sausages, I feel like throwing up. This is due to I like to eat the meat balls and siu mai during my dim sum meal. After I read the reporting news, I think I would have to stop eating that food for the time being. You can say that maybe I am too concern on the issue, but I would not like to risk my life for eating those food.
I am also feeling bad for those people whom use the rubbish pork to make into sausages, meat balls and dim sum and sell to the people. Don’t they think about the life of people? I think those people are very selfish and “black-hearted” as they just see the DOLLAR SIGNS $$$ in their eyes instead of any consciences?! What if he/she or his/her own family have taken that food which made by the “rubbish pork” and affect their health, what would they think?! Well, if that was the case, I think it is a “pay-back” for them.
Well, I really wish that all these rubbish-pork or black-hearted pork would be solved ASAP as I want to enjoy my dim sum or meat balls as I used to be!

An Interesting Experience
I went to the UPPM to be the patient for the medical students of the Faculty of Dentistry for their examination in last Saturday (14/5/2011). I was invited by my lung doctor in last month to attend the exam for the medical students of the dentistry faculty.
The exam was taken for half a day, it was from 8.30am until 12.45pm. When I reached the UPPM, a nurse lead me to the exam hall, it was similar to a ward. There were beds and I saw there were some patients there, mostly man. All these patients are same as I am, to be the patient for the dental students to examine. I also met my lung doctor in the exam hall. So, I was informed by the doctor to go to the bed no.8 and next to my bed was an Indian man and opposite of my bed was a young Chinese guy.
After 10 minutes, I met another lung specialist whom I was consulted before, he is the Professor. He came to do a simple examine on me by just checking the colors of my fingernails and tongue. After that another Malay doctor came to do the same checking to me. Later I found out that he is also the Professor, a Cardiologist.
By 8.40am, I saw those 2 doctors who have examined me before were leading a medical student went to see or check on the patient. So the 2 doctors who are Professor are the examiners for those medical students. Around 9am, the 2 examiners came together with a medical student who was a young Chinese guy came to my bed. The 2 Professors told the student to do some checking on me and then to reply them about my diagnosis illness. So the medical student was started to introduce himself to me and asked if I could let him do some checking and said “sure!” So he started to examine me, when he was holding my hands to check on my fingernails colour, I could feel that his hands were shaking as I know he was very nervous for his exam. I felt like wanted to tell him to calm down but I did not as I did not want to disturb him. So I just let him examined as per his request. The 2 examiners were also asking him questions while the student was examining me. I guess it is how the medical students to carry their practical exams. As I am the patient, I just showing them my fingernails, tongue and eyes. The reason was to let the medical students to see the colour of the fingernails and tongue in order to different the type of sickness of the patient.
I was examined by 5 medical students for the half day, there were 3 Malay ladies, one Chinese guy and one Chinese lady. All of them were nervous I could see and I realised one of the Malay ladies was better than others. This was due to she could answer all the questions from the examiners fluently, as some of them could not answer until the examiner was kind enough to give some hints or have to think for sometime to reply. Moreover, I also realised that the Malay Professor was communicating a bit of Malay with the Malay students. I was wondering if those Malays are hardly understand the English?! Or they just used to communicate in their own language instead?! I don’t know.
Anyway, besides being as the patient to let the dental students to examine, there were meals provided to us. Breakfast meal with 2 pieces of small kuih and drinks of mineral water and Soya bean. Tea break at 10.20am with a cup of hot Milo and a packet of cookies and then lunch meal, was Malay style chicken rice and mineral water. Besides meals provided, there was a monetary rewards to the patients as the compliments from the Faculty of Dentistry.
The exam was ended at around 12.45pm, after that I left the UPPM and headed home. Overall, I think this is an interesting experience for me as it was my 1st time as the patient to carry out the exam together with the medical students. Lastly, I wish those medical students would have a good result for their exams and wish them all the best! J

School-bully Cases
There are 2 cases of school bully reported on the newspapers lately. They even have the video-clips show in the Internet. These cases have become an issue to the public. I also have seen those video clips on FB.
I am feeling sorry for those students (for those who did the attacked and being attacked) in those video clips. This is due to I don’t think they knew that they are making a mistake at that time instead of having fun by themselves. Moreover, some of them even feel very proud to be on camera and by showing the funny/happy faces. Honestly speaking, I really don’t understand what are the teenagers are doing nowadays.
If I was the parent of those kids, I would be feeling ashamed. Why?! You have such an “incredicle”child that the whole Malaysia have known about what has happened. Actually, I am wondering are the parents of those teenagers known what are their children did at school, or home?! Are those parents just concentrating on earning monies and giving less caring to their children and eventually caused this incident happened?! Who should be blamed for those happenings?! The students?! Parents?! School teachers?! Can anyone tell me?!
As a conclusion, I just think that the school kids nowadays are different from my days. Actually my school days are not very much back though. I think the teenagers nowadays are more on the materialistic matters than their studies. If you don’t understand, you can see the teenagers around you. Check on their mobile phones, you would notice that they are carrying the mobile phones are much more high-tech than yours and they are also wearing the branded clothes.

My Weekend!
Today is Monday. So, how was your Mother's Day and weekend?! Well, as for me, during the weekend, my sister and I took my mother out for meals, it was our Mother's Day celebration. We went to dine at one of the restaurants at the Mentari Sunway. We ordered crabs, shark fins, herbal chicken and many more for our meal. Hey, don't worry, we managed to finish the food as we ordered what we wanted to eat and not wasting the food. :P
Anyway, we were enjoying the meals very much. After the meal, we also went to the shopping complex for shopping. Shopping can be considered as one type of the exercises for us! Haha! :P
Actually, I think we should treat our Mother well everyday. We should respect them all the time. If possible, tell your mother that you love her always! So, let's say it together, I LOVE YOU, MUM!!! :)

Vitamin B no help to severe Vascular sufferers
Vitamin B, while harmless, does not help prevent a repeat occurance of strokes or heart attacks, according to a recent study published in the British medical journal 'The Lancet'.
The findings, based on first-ever clinical trials, suggest that vitamin B supplements should no longer be recommended for patients who have suffered severe vascular events, the researchers said. Previous research has shown a link between an increase of amino acid in the blood - a condition known as homocysteine - and a higher risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease. At the same time, other studies have shown that a daily dose of Vitamin B can reduce abnormal amino acid levels.
What remained unknown was whether the supplements would also help cut the risk of repeat heart attacks or strokes, fatal or non-fatal. To find out, an international consortium of doctors and scientists in 20 countires conducted a clinical trial with more than 8000 patients who had recently had a serious heart or vascular problem.
Half the participants were given a daily dose of B Vitamins - a mix of folic acid, B6 and B12 - while the other half swallowed lookalike placebos. During a follow-up period that average 3.4 years, there was no statistically significant difference in the outcome : 15% of of the Vitamin B group experienced a major vascular event, compared to 17% for the control group. At the same time, the vitamins did not cause any unwanted side effects.

Justice Has Been Done!
The most prominent face of terror in America and beyond, Osama Bin Laden, has been killed in Pakistan on last Sunday 1/5/2011. Bin Laden was the leader of al Qaeda, the terrorist network behind the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. The enormity of the destruction -- the World Trade Center's towers devastated by two hijacked airplanes, the Pentagon partially destroyed by a third hijacked jetliner, a fourth flight crashed in rural Pennsylvania, and more than 3,000 people killed -- gave bin Laden a global presence.
I still recall the scene of the plane that crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center that I watched on TV on Sept 11. It was a scary scene for me at that time. I feel sorry for the passengers in the hijacked planes. Since the 9.11 incident, many places always received the false alarm of boom. There was even happened for our Twin Towers at that time. Thank God, it was just a "joke". Anyway, i believe the families of the ones that died in the 9.11 incident have feel relief now.
"His demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity," Obama said in a speech announcing bin Laden's death. "Justice has been done." Thus, I wish all the terrorism would end and have a world Peace!!!
