American Postcard

 

 

A surprised postcard from the USA received on 23/6/2015 from Dana. The postcard shows the view of the North Carolina, the Tarheel state. From the Blue Ridge Mountains, across the icamont plateau, to the Outer Banks, North Carolina is rich in scenic beauty and historic sites. One of the original 15 states, their state bird is the cardinal, and the state flower is the dogwood.

 

Anyway, I like the card very much and I would like to thank you Dana for it. :)

Germany - Iris

Hello to all my blog followers! I am sorry that I have not been updated my blog for sometime. The reason is I am busy due to my personal matter. But I still could manage to squeeze out sometime now to blog about the receipt of my lovely postcards within the past 2 weeks since the new year, Yr.2015 from the worldwide. :)

I have received the German postcard from Iris. The German sentence written on the postcard means "A Good Husband Hears Although His Wife is Silent". According to Iris, it is a joke. For me, I think so too! :P

 

The next Snoopy postcard is sent by Joe who is from USA. Joe and I used to exchange cards sometimes. Although his cute Christmas card has reached me after the festive season, I still like it as Snoopy is one of my most favourite cartoon character. Thus, I was happy to receive such lovely postcard.

The Dutch postcard is from Evelien. The postcard shows the street where she lives with her family. She was having snowing when she written the card to me.

 

 

Margarita from Belarus has sent me a postcard with a meal dish. According to her, it is the national dish which her country people usually eat during the summer. Well, I think I would give it a try if i have the chance to travel to the Belarus during the summer time. :)

Year 2015 is here. I have received a new year postcard from Esther, Germany. She has written some new year greetings on the card and pasted some lovely stickers on the card too.

 

Another late Christmas card which I have received is from France. Laura has sent me a lovely owl Christmas card together with 2 cute Disney stickers. Laura is live in Paris, wow, a romantic city.

 

The next card is from Asia country. It is sent from Apple, who is from Taiwan. I like Apple's card very much as I think it is very beautiful. It is full of new year mood and I think it is a Japanese card as there are some Japanese words printed on the card. Apple is from Hsinchu city as she said that it is a beautiful place. Apple has also pasted some beautiful stamps on the postcard too. Overall, I like both the stamps and the card and her card has became one of my favourite postcards. :)

The last postcard is received from Anna, Russia. Anna is live in St. Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities of Russia. She likes travelling who is similar to me. Anna has also pasted some beautiful stamps on the postcard. The view of the postcard is called "Night - A light blue wave.1876" by Ivan Aivazovsky (1817 - 1900).

 

So, these are the postcards that I have received in the first two weeks of the new year, Year 2015. I wish I would receive and exchange more postcards in this year. I think my target is about 100 cards in this year. I wish that I could meet my objective. :)

Postcards Received during my "Special Vacation"!

During my "special vacation" in last month, I have received some surprised postcards. Those postcards were from different places of the world. They were from Finland, Germany, Russia and USA.

 

The first postcard was from Katja from Finland. Katja written on the postcard that the national bird of the Findland is Swan. The postcard was showing the view of the Hell Lake of Finland.

 

The second postcard was from a 15 year-old girl named Anastasia. I like her name. :P Anastasia was a very honest girl as she said she was actually wanted to send me a postcard with snow view but she has written my address on the wrong postcard. Thus, in the end, she sent me such postcard with her own drawings of a girl who was enjoying the snowign at the back of the postcard. I think it is so sweet of Anastasia. Anyway, I still like the postcard that she sent to me! :)

 

The next was the German postcard. The beautiful red tulips view which was sent by Katarina from Germany. According to Katarina, she was living in the beautiful town called Speyer from Germany. Moreover, she also written a birthday greetings to me! I am so touched by her! :)

 

The last cute creature postcard, with the striped skunk was sent by Darlene, from USA, to me. Darlene was the friend of mine to exchange postcards or emails to keep in touch with each other. So, Darlene was sending this cute postcard to me for the Halloween.

 

Lastly, I would like to thank all of the postcrossers or my friends above for sending me the lovely postcards. I would like to inform that I like all the postcards and would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to you all! May you all keep sending postcards to make people happy! Cheers!!! :)

American Animation Postcard

Toy Story 3 Postcard

I have received an American animation postcard of "Toy Story 3" from Mary, Utah, USA ON 19/9/2014. Mary is from the South Jordan, Utah.

 

 

According to Mary, the South of Salt Lake City and between 2 mountain ranges are great fro hiking. She and her family had been camping there before. Mary has 2 sons. I bet she must have a happy family. Well, if I would have the chance to travel to Utah, I must go to the places she mentioned.

 

 

Anyway, I would like to thank Mary for the lovely postcard. THANK YOU!!! :)

Chicago Postcard

A postcard was received from Jennifer, Chicago, USA, in last week. The postcard is with the view of the Chicago Millennium Park.

 

Millennium Park is Chicago's prominent civic center and an important landmark on the city's lakefront. The 25 acre park was originally a part of Daniel Burnham's plan of Chicago in 1909. There are 3 major artistic highlights : Cloud Gate, Crown Fountain, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, acclaimed as the most sophisticated outdoor concert venue.

 

According to Jennifer, she has moved from Florida to Chicago about 2 years ago. Her favourite things to do around town are to visit the Art Institute and to wander around the gardens and neighbourhoods. The Millennium Park is one of her favourite parks and gardens. She strongly recommended me to visit this park if I would have went to the Chicago.

 

Anyway, I would like to thank Jennifer for the lovely postcard. I wish I would have to chance to travel to Chicago someday. Thank you Jennifer! :) 

The Late Beatles Surprise! !!

I have received a postcard and a late surprise of the Beatles postcard collections on 9/8/2014. They are sent from Joe, USA. The postcard he has sent to me is the view of the Cape Neddick Light on the Nubble at York Beach.

 

As for the Beatles collection of postcards, they are the designed from the friend of Joe and he also pasted the stamps at each postcard too. It is a late surprise for my niece as her birthday present. My niece is very happy to have them and she likes it very, very much.

 

I am very grateful to Joe for the Beatles collections of postcard and the Cape Neddick Light postcard too. I like it as it is beautiful. Moreover, Joe has also sent with some lovely cartoon stamps on the envelop and I like them too. As promised, I would send a Thank You card to Joe as return soon.

 

Anyway, I wish Joe and his family would have a great and fun summer!!! Once again, Thank you Joe!!!

Laminated Maple Leaf

 

I have received a lovely mail from Kim, Canada. Wow! I love it. She has sent me a beautiful card together with some maple leaves which have been laminated. They can be used as bookmarks or decorations.

 

Kim is a very nice person as I recalled that I only mentioned to her once that maple leaf is my most favourite leaf and that is the reason I named for my blog too. She remembers my words and then here she has sent me the beautiful leaves. Kim written in the card that she has picked those maple leaf from her house garden, and then dried it and laminated.

 

Anyway, I am very grateful to Kim for the lovely gifts and I would like to say THANK YOU!!! :)

Beautiful Mapleleaf Postcard!!!

I have received a Canadian postcard from Kim. The postcard she sent to me is a picture of the Maple Leaf on the back of the wooden chair. I like it very much. Kim is actually one of the friends who has helped me to find the Beatles of collection for my niece's birthday!!! Anyway, I would like to thank Kim for the lovely card as I like it very much! Once again, Thank you Kim!!! :)

American Love Postcard

Aloha!!! :) A lovely surprised postcard from the Hawaii, USA, from Crystal. In the postcard, Crystal said that she was never a big fan of the Beatles until she has watched the Cirqu du Seleil act in Las Vegas which dedicated to the Beatles in Year 2007.

 

Well, I also like the songs of The Beatles. I think the first song that I listened to the Beatles is "It's A Hard Day's Night", and followed by "Yellow Submarine", "Yesterday". Anyway, I like the Love Love Love postcard which I received from Crystal, as it is lovely! :)

 

Once again, I would like to thank Crystal for the card. THANK YOU! ALOHA!!! :D

Postcard from USA

A surprised American postcard is received in last month. It is sent by Terry from Arkansas. The postcard shows the winter view of Petit Jean, State Park of ARkansas. The park is built by John Walker in 1845, the Pioneer Cabin is a regular attraction found at Petit Jean State Park. The pioneer cabin was the first home built on Petit Jean Mountain, and was moved its present location by the CIvilian Conservation Corp.

According to Terry, it is a large park and nature area with lots of hiking trails, camping, an old lodge, rental cabins and lots of activities. Wow, it sounds interesting. I wish to go to this place someday to experience.

Anyway, i would like to thank Terry for this postcard. Thank you!!! :)

First Receipt of the Beatles Collection

Yahoo! I have received my first postcard for my Beatles Collection as I posted on 5th March 2014. You may read the post here. According to my previous post, I have requested for the Beatles collection for my niece's birthday gift. Thus I have received a postcard from Catherine, who is from USA.

In the postcard, Catherine has written that her 12 year-old son is also loves The Beatles as my niece. Thus, when she has read my message, she has sent me this postcard and she also written a birthday greetings to my niece.

Anyway, I really grateful to Catherine for her favour and I have replied her with a thank you gift as promised. Once again, thank you Catherine!!! ^.^

Smiley Face Postcard

A smiley postcard is sent by Joe to me from USA. Joe is one of the postcard swappers of mine. We always exchange postcards. 

Well, I hope this smiley postcard is very effective for me. If you have been followed my blog, you have known that there is a flight has missing few days ago. However, the jet is yet to be found as at todate. I hope with this smiley card, it helps to cheer everybody and support to all the rescue and searching teams from different countries.

Lovely Disney Postcard

Haha! A really very lovely Disney postcard has surprised me in last week. It is sent by Jae who is from California, USA. The postcard shows the "Princess & Villains" of the Disney animation movies. They are from "Sleeping Beauty", "Snow White" and "Cinderella".  

 

This Disney postcard is really very lovely and I like it very much. It reminds me that I have visited to the Disneylands of Tokyo and Hong Kong. However, I wish to go to the origin Disneyland, which is the one in the USA. Yes, I wish my dream would come true that I will go to the USA Disneyland soon!!!

Letter of the Months Postcard

 

Another surprised postcard from USA after I participated in the Letter of the Months 2014. The postcard is sent by Rachel from California.

 

Rachel has written in the postcard that she is super excited to be participating in the Letter of the Months 2014. Actually I am also having the same feeling as her. I am trying hard to write and send postcards almost everyday. The I am waiting patiently for any surprise mails. Rachel's postcard is one of them for me. I like the card as it is lovely and moreover the envelope is a self-made with special packaging. I like it.

 

I have written a reply to Rachel and hope to hear from her again soon. Lastly, Thank you for the postcard, Rachel! :)

Valentine's Day Card from USA

V-Card, Postcard and little gifts

After I joined the project "Letter of the Months 2014" as posted in my previous post, I have received some letters and postcards from USA. This Valentine's card and some gifts are from one of the new pen-pals. Her name is Lana.

 

 

As I written about the Double Valentine's Day in the Letter of the Months forum, I received a V-card from her then. I think it is so sweet of her. Besides the card, she also sent me postcard of Arizona, some lovely stickers and cat pictures. Moreover the stamps on the envelope are beautiful too. I like them very much and I also thank Lana very much for the letter. I was surprised to receive the mail. :)

 

Anyway, I have written a reply to Lana and hopes she would receive my letter safely and soon. Then I could hear from her again.

 

Lastly, I would like to thank Lana again for the lovely mail. Thank you!!! ^.^

Chinese New Year Postcard from Canada

A Wooden Horse Lunar New Year postcard is received from Tanya, Alberta, Canada. She is one of my friends to swap the Chinese New Year card for my collection as I posted earlier.

 

Anyway, it is a beautiful postcard and I like it very much. Both of us have the same wish which is to have a good year for this brand new year. Lastly, I would like to thank Tanya for the beautiful card and Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! :)

I have received a Chinese NEw Year postcard from Rose, USA, yesterday. It is a lovely postcard. Moreover, she enclosed the postcard in a self-made envelope and she also enclosed a Red packet with cash gift for me. I was surprised for it. Initially I was sending her the CNY card with the samples of red packets and telling her about the Chinese culture for the CNY. I have never thought of she would apply our culture! :p

Anyway, i really am grateful for the gift and card of Rose. I would like to wish her to have a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year. Thank you again!!! ^.^

Christmas Card from the USA

A friend from USA, named Joe has sent me a cute Christmas postcard. I was surprised to receive it as i did not hear from him for about a year. We used to exchange postcards before. 

Anyway, the Christmas card that Joe sent me is lovely and he also provided a Santa Clause stamped on the card. The stamp is beautiful too. I like them very much. 

In return, I will send a Chinese New Year card to Joe as to show him the Chinese culture and i hope he would like the card. Lastly, i would like to thank Joe for the lovely card. Thank you! ^.^

Paris vs New York

 

Jessica from USA has sent me a postcard which is very interesting. It is Paris vs New York. In the postcard, it shows the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. I think it is interesting.

 

Jessica written in her postcard that she was having summer holidays enjoying the sunny and moreover she has married on June in an island, called Saint Croiz. Thus, I would like to say "Congrats"to her even it was late. :)
