White Finnish Postcard – SUOMI FINLAND

Suomi Finland postcard with amazing snow view. Helena from the western coast of Finland surprised with such postcard. She written in the card that they got the first snow on 2 days ago she written me the postcard, and it was unusual for them that it snows in October. She also mentioned that it is very cold with -14C. The nature is so beautiful there that covered with snow all over. She wishes that she could do some skiing and skating activities during this winter.

Wow, it makes me feel like want to try those winter activities too since I did not experience it before! :P anyway, I would like to thank Helena for the postcard. THANK YOU!!!

Beautiful Amsterdam Postcard

I was surprised with a beautiful Amsterdam postcard on 4/11/2012. It is sent from Auke, Netherlands.

Auke is telling me in the card that he is living with his family in Almere and he likes to collect stamps and postcards. His interest is similar to mine too. The postcard that he sent me is Amsterdam multiple views. It consists of St. Nicholas Church, South Church and Old Church (the oldest church in Amsterdam).

So, Amsterdam is one of the places that I would like to travel to someday. I wish I could see those churches in my own eyes. Anyway, I would like to thank Auke for the postcard. THANK YOU!!! J

Japanese Animation Postcard by Miyazaki

I received an animation postcard from Yukie, Japan. It is the postcard of the animation of “Spirited Away” aka “Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi” by the famous animator Hayao Miyazaki.

Yukie also wrote some Bahasa Malaysia greetings on the postcard to me. She would like to collect the postcard of the foods and cooking recipe of Malaysia. So, if I have found such type of postcard, I am sure would swap the postcard with Yukie again as she is a nice person.

Yukie also pasted an animation stamp of “Dragon Ball” on the postcard to me. Since I like animation, I am happy to receive such postcard from her. I would like to say a BIG Thank you to her. THANK YOU / Arigato gozaimasu Yukie!!! J

Postcard of Zion National Park, Utah, USA

An amazing national park postcard surprised me from Kai Hunter, from Pennsylvania, USA. She sent me a postcard of the Virgin River Narrows ZION National Park of Utah.  Excavated by the Virgin River eons ago, ZION Canyon is a deep cavern in the earth showcasing fantastic rock formations in concert with water in motion. The Virgin River Narrows is a powerful example of the theme.
Kai Hunter told me that she and her family had visited the Zion National Park during the summer for vacation. It was very beautiful but very hot there. Anyway, this postcard has given me an amazing view.
Thus, I would like to thank Kai Hunter for sending me the postcard, THANK YOU and I like it! J

My Halloween Postcard

Halloween has passed. How was your Halloween? I received a Halloween postcard on 1/11/2012 from Joe, USA.

He sent me a postcard of The MUMMY. The MUMMY was acted by the actor Boris Karloff. He is a superstar of the horror film genre. Karloff made approximately 170 films during his 60 years career. He got his big break in Hollywood when he got the role of Frankenstein's Monster.

Joe also pasted the stamps of the Dracula and Frankenstein on the postcard to me. Actually I was surprised to receive such postcard. I had swapped postcards with Joe for few times.

Anyway, I would like to thank Joe for the Halloween postcard as it is my first Halloween postcard. Once again, THANK YOU, JOE!!! :)

Sufferings from the Chest Bronchoscopy

I returned to the chest clinic of the UMMC for my chest follow-up in last Wednesday. I also did the chest X-ray. The chest specialist told me that my chest x-ray was alright, nothing changes and I needed to continue my treatment still. He then wanted me to go for the bronchoscopy again on the next day, i.e. the Thursday. The reason for the bronchoscopy was that I could not provide the phlegm (as usual), thus by carried out the bronchoscopy would get to know if my lungs would have the bacteria still.

I had to fast for an overnight before my bronchoscopy. On Thursday morning, I went to the Endoscopy Unit of the UMMC for my bronchoscopy procedure. I waited around 9am, and then it was my turn. A Chinese male doctor was carried the procedure for me. He explained the procedure to me and after I understood it, I had to sign the consent form for the procedure.

It was taken about an hour for the procedure. After I was done for it, I felt very weak and sleepy, thus I took some rest at the waiting area of the Endoscopy unit. I felt my throat was aching too and I was kept on coughing, I managed to cough out some phlegm at that time. I think after I rested about an hour, I left the hospital and headed home.

However, I still felt unwell after day. I could not eat the hard food, just a little bit of porridge as my meal. The reason was that my throat was pain. I was feeling cold and badly headache and giddiness. I was having some mild fever too. All those are the effects of the bronchoscopy.

Luckily on the next day, my fever had gone. But I was still having some sore throat and some coughing until today. I wish I could recover from those ASAP as I was suffering stomach pain from my coughing. In the meantime, I have to wait for my bronchoscopy result for 6 weeks time. I would only get to know it during my next chest appointment on the mid of December. I wish my result would be ok!!!
