Postcards from Europe

Finnish Postcard

I have received 2 postcards from the Europe on 11/6/2014. They are from the Finland and Czech Republic. The postcard shown above is sent from Tania, Finland. She is a retired accountant. Se likes pen palling, reading, travelling, needle works and collecting postcards.

Tania has sent me the postcard which enclosed in an envelop. The stamp is beautiful too. The postcard she has sent me is the night view of the Turku Abo of Suomi. Anyway, I would like to thank Tania for the postcard.

The second postcard is from Katerina who is from Czech Republic. She has sent me a card with the beautiful view of the Cesky Krumlov.

The first written reference to Cesky Krumlov dates back to the year 1253. The Krumlov branch of the Vitkov family died out in 1302 and the Krumlov estate passed into the hands of the Rosenberg. The last of the Rosenberg line, Petr Vok, was then forced to cede Krumlov to Emperor Rudolf Hapsburg II in 1601. The Eggenberg family then took control Krumlov in 1622 during the 32 War with the financial assistance of the emperor. The town was later inherited y the Schwarzenberg family in 1719 once the Eggenbergs had died out. Cesky Krumlov has been a UNESCO cultural and natural heritage site since 1992..

I would like to thank Katerina for the beautiful card as I like it very much.

Once again, I would like to thank both Tania and Katerina for the postcards. Thank you!!! :)
